Nearly all are local and everyone is committed to preserving what we have.

New windows were recently installed at 1118 and 1116 16th Ave as part of what will be a full restoration of the facade and the before and after already is amazing!

@outpostgaming, which recently celebrated 1 year, is located on the right and a salon will be opening on the left.

We hope you all have been enjoying the Christmas decorations this season as much as we have!

Our biggest thanks to Dave, Doug, and Dylan (pictured) from Monroe Parks & Recreation Department and director Josh for coordinating and installing everything once again this year!

We also want to wish Dave a big congratulations on retiring last week.

The decorations will be up until at least the end of next week! They were purchased by Main Street Monroe as part of a multi-year capital campaign project overseen by our Design Committee. The commercial decorations are from a Midwest company and made in the USA. There are also 50 wreaths and hundreds of yards of garland and lights!

We hope you all have been enjoying the Christmas decorations this season as much as we have!

@Sunrise Donut Café still has their Christmas drink menu available, along with weekly specials and their normal menu.

This delicious drink is the “Christ-mist”, a unique blend of peppermint tea, steamed oat milk, and a bit of chocolate Milano syrup.

Sunrise is currently open 7am-2pm and features full breakfast and lunch menus, as well.

Pictured is the owner of the Local Joint, Justin Thomas. Special shout out to him because today is his birthday! We also want to highlight the amazing Christmas village in his window that his 12-year-old son put together. There is a train running through a town square that looks decidedly like Monroe, complete with Santa flying over a courthouse!

The Local Joint is located at 1000 17th Avenue and open Wednesday - Sunday this week. You will find local! Local cheese and cheese curds, wine and beer by the glass and bottle, sweets from Kristi's Sweet Treats, cheese, wine, and beer gift boxes, plus art and woodwork!

She’s winning a gift basket put together by Terra and her crew at 213 Mercantile! It includes one of their full size soy candles, an interchangeable winter scene tray with five pieces, a snowflake home decor, and vase with greenery. Total value is $80. Thank you to Terra for the donation!

Mary shopped throughout downtown, getting 10 stamps from 10 different businesses, submitted her card where she got her last stamp, and won! Highlights for her included drinks at Bartel’s & Co Tap, coffee at Chocolate Temptation, new winter items at Burington Shoes and JoAnne’s and gifts for the family at Toy Haus.

The retail promotion runs now through the end of the year. We have 3 more weekly winners to pick! There are 50 participating businesses. Each weekly winner will still be entered into the grand prize giveaways, which total $2500.

Cards can be picked up at any of the participating businesses. You may also drop them off there when you get your final stamp.
